Albert Shaw Inverkeithing Paedophile

A paedophile from Inverkeithing, Albert Shaw, has been sentenced to 10 years and six months in prison for the sexual abuse of two young girls.

Albert Shaw, aged 64, received his sentence at the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday.

The incidents occurred between March 2016 and March 2019, during which both girls were under the age of 13.

Albert Shaw acknowledged the offences at the same court in November and returned this week for punishment.

Detective Inspector Graham Watson, of Police Scotland’s child abuse investigation team, said: “I hope this sentence helps Albert Shaw’s victims come to terms with what happened and that they can now move on with their lives.

“We encourage anyone who is the victim of sexual crime to get in touch, regardless of the time that has passed.

“We have specialist officers who will carry out enquiries and work towards bringing those responsible to justice.”
