A man, Adam Baillie Harrow Paedophile, has received a life sentence for the kidnapping and sexual assault of an 11-year-old child.

Adam Baillie, 39 (16.05.85) of Spring Way, Harrow, has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum period of 10 years for the kidnapping and sexual abuse of an 11-year-old girl unknown to him.

On 19 April 2024, the court was informed that Baillie abducted the girl when she was returning home from elementary school in Harrow and thereafter transported her to his residence, where he perpetrated a severe sexual assault against her. She managed to escape, and with the assistance of neighbours, the police were alerted.

With the assistance of officers, the girl successfully identified the property, resulting in Baillie’s arrest.

On 16 October 2024, Adam Baillie was convicted at Harrow Crown Court.

Adam Baillie was also convicted of kidnapping and actual bodily injury.

PC Georgia Devaney-Brighton, who was the Sexual Offences Investigative Techniques Officer in the investigation, said: “Today we achieved justice for this courageous girl and I hope the severity of the sentence can provide some comfort to her and her family.

“This was an appalling crime which sent shockwaves through the local community. This young victim-survivor has shown remarkable bravery throughout this process, her strength and willingness to work with us has been vital in securing this conviction. I want to thank her and her family for their trust in the police and for their resilience during such a distressing time.”
